Currency Converter
Convert currencies using the latest available daily exchange rate. No signup or API key is needed, and the rate date is always shown.
Convert currency
Fetching the latest available reference rate.
Rates are the latest daily reference rates available from Frankfurter's central-bank dataset. They are indicative—not real-time trading or card rates.
How this currency converter works
The calculator requests the newest published rate when the page opens, when you change a currency, or when you refresh.
Every result shows the underlying one-unit rate and the date supplied with the data.
The amount is calculated in your browser. Only the selected three-letter currency codes are requested from the rate service.
Formula
converted amount = amount × exchange rate
Example: if 1 USD = 0.86 EUR, then 100 USD = 86 EUR.
Rate source
Rates are provided by the open-source Frankfurter API, which aggregates daily rates from central banks. The public API requires no key.
Common questions
Are these exchange rates live?
The calculator fetches the latest available data live, but the underlying reference rates are generally published once per working day. It is not an intraday trading feed.
Why is my bank's rate different?
Banks and payment providers can add a margin, a fixed fee, or both. Card-network timing and weekend pricing can also differ from a published reference rate.
Does the converter need an API key?
No. It uses Frankfurter's public keyless endpoint and performs the multiplication in your browser.
What happens if the rate service is unavailable?
The page reports that the rate is unavailable and does not label an old result as current. You can retry with the refresh button.
